These are the clips that attach the door rod to your outside door handles. These clips are known to break from being old and when that happens the door rod detaches from the door handle and you won't be able to open the door from outside. Also, there are cases where the rod breaks off when the window is rolled down. If the door rod breaks you will need to buy a new door lock actuator assembly which can cost a couple hundred dollars. Replacing the old brittle plastic clips with new ones can prevent getting locked out and preventable damage. Sold as a pair.
